GTA Outdoors Guide

Trails

  • One of the best parks in the region, with so many hiking options to suit everyone. We really enjoy Vista Trail and Mast Trail, both on the easier side and moderate lengths at 5km.

  • Scenic rolling wide paved trail with waterfront views. One of our favourite sections is from Montgomery Park to Paradise Park

  • This section of the Finch Corridor is known to be the most natural, with parks and ravines on both sides of the route. You'll start in the East Don Parklands, where wetlands and creeks cut through small escarpment. Then, you'll pass under the hydro towers before ending at G. Ross Lord Park

  • The perfect spot for a short casual walk around this pond and it can be extended onto the Etobicoke Creek Trail of which Loafers Lake is a part of.

  • Lots of parking at this short well paved section of the Waterfront Trail. The peninsula is the perfect place to post up and watch the boats come in and out of the marina and boat launch.

  • Just a few kilometers West from Square One with lots of parking options. Many routes are available to choose, our favourites are Yellow and Red. Stop at MacEwan Gardens once you are done for a slower stroll.

Activities

  • This small park backs a big punch, it is the perfect spot to chill on park bench over looking the small pond with Japenese style landscaping

  • Cricket, baseball, dog parks, BMX track, golf course ad disc golf just to name a few of the activities in this park just south of the airport.

  • Keep your eyes on the parks calendar for many free plays and concerts at this lovely outdoor park with auditorium style seating.

  • There is so much to do at Lakewood Park, including the nearby PumpHouse Marsh for a short walk. But our favorite thing to do at LakeWoods is the scenic lookout, on a clear day you can even see downtown.

  • The home to many festivals and concerts at the park during the summer and on outdoor skating rink in the cooler months. just up the road is Garden Square, this chill town square is a great place to meet up and venture to nearby restaurants.

  • Finish your Waterfront Trail walks here for a place to relax on this small beach and cool off with a swim.
